Are you interested helping us to plan the next fun year of Santa Margarita group activities?  Our executive committee (ex-com) will be meeting at Pam Nelson's house for the annual planning session on June 25th at 10 am.

Anyone interested in joining us is welcome. We will discuss our speaker list, fund-raisers, outings, social events, etc.

Pam's house is located in Warner Springs, a 25-minute drive from Temecula. Checking out the local and quaint wineries could be a nice follow up to our meeting. Tastings are $10 and less and the ambiance is delightful and different at each one.

Please RSVP June 20th by email or phone (951 767-2324). Directions to Pam's house will be sent to the attendees.

Please take my phone number. to call if you get lost, but remember, your phone would not work once you have left the pavement.  Hope to see you at my house.

Aug. 12 (Sat) 8:30 AM  Palomar Mountain State Park Hike

Join me on a hike through the deeply forested trails of Palomar Mountain State Park.  I will be using several trails to form a loop. The hike will be moderately aggressive, about 8 miles long with about 1000' of gain/loss.  I will be making some changes from last year's hike to highlight different park features. We will meet at the parking lot near Doane Pond. This is where the hike will begin and finish.  Dress in layers, bring 2 liters of water, a snack or lunch, sturdy hiking shoes and don't forget the sunscreen. The park's physical address is 19952 State Park Rd. Palomar Mountain, CA 92060.  There is an $8 per vehicle day use fee.
